DESCRIPTION:
This course is part of a program designed to allow students to attend the career center in the afternoon.
SUPPLIES:
Optional notebook for each course (proper notes, vocabulary, lectures, labs, and online content).
Headphones are not provided, students need to bring their own every day.
Use Google Drive for saving digital notes.
CURRICULUM & GRADING:
Each student will be assigned computer-based coursework to be completed by the course target completion date. Students are expected to attend every class session. Students are also required to engage in a once a week progress check with their instructor, GLHS course mentor, or parent/guardian (accountability emails are sent to parents who provide a useable email address to the school).
JOURNAL/NOTEBOOK PROCEDURES:
Online and Credit recovery courses are a privilege. As such, students are required to maintain top quality adherence to the following:
ACADEMIC DISHONESTY:
First Offense
Student/teacher will discuss the situation and consult an administrator with parent notification.
Second Offense
Students who are caught cheating for the second time will not receive credit for the course and will need to retake the Edgenuity course.
Third Offense
Students will not be allowed to utilize online courses during 3rd hour and may result in being dropped from the career center.

JOURNAL/NOTEBOOK PROCEDURES:
- Notebook pages dated and/or numbered with lesson headings
- Proper note-taking exhibited during all lessons
- Time management skills (use of class time from beginning to end)
- Failure to comply with these note requirements will disqualify the student from test checks or retakes. If this happens, the student will be required to return to missed work and/or lectures and redo activities.
- Students will receive 1 check on quiz assessments and 2 checks per test assessment if proof of notes is available
- Students will complete at least 5% of their course per 1 hour of in-class course time*.
(*Seniors must monitor a timeline specific to their personal end dates and adjust accordingly)

- Students will take an online elective 3rd hour
- We meet in room 309
- Students A-K will attend Monday/Wednesday or Students L-Z will attend Tuesday/Thursday
- Students will have A Lunch
- Students will log in and work for 30 minutes, from 11am until 11:30am.
- Students are required to attend Friday if they do not meet the required weekly completion goal or fail to attend (refer to student newsletter/trimester syllabus for specific pacing information)
- Students will complete the virtual learning coursework on the Virtual learning schedule which may differ from the GLHS calendar
- Students will pass all of their classes at GLHS and follow the attendance policy
- Students will review the syllabus and refer to the pacing newsletter/syllabus for more information
- Students will exhibit exemplary behavior as required in all classes
- Students will utilize good time management skills for the entire class
- Students will utilize organized work habits
- Students will display of manners, common courtesy and good attitude daily
- Students will comply with all school policies (academics, attendance, behavior, technology, etc.). Violation of rules may result in removal from the program
- Students will use materials as required in class: HEADPHONES AND NOTE TAKING ARE A DAILY REQUIREMENT.
- Students must have additional electronic devices upside down on the desk, minimal interaction with the device is expected. This will be monitored by staff and they reserve the right to prohibit device use

- I will be on time for class each day and come prepared and ready to work.
- I will complete all assignments independently and honestly.
- I agree additional electronic devices will be upside down on the desk, minimal interaction with the device is expected. This will be monitored by staff and they reserve the right to prohibit device use.
- Since this a self-paced online course, I will refer to the pacing expectations and meet those each week.
- I will not access any Internet sites except for those required by my program.
- I will respect other people, as well as their property.
- I will remain at my work station until dismissed by my teacher and keep my area clean.
- If I have questions about course content, I will reach out to my classroom teacher for help.
